Common Parent Inquiries
The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) (20 U.S.C. § 1232g; 34 CFR Part 99) is a Federal law that protects the privacy of student educational records.
In accordance with FERPA, students 18 years of age or older have the right to their academic records and schools may not release any personal information without consent.
Your student can access information through their Student Center for charges on their account.
A student can also request an invoice or receipts by filling out an Official Request Form from the Bursar’s Office.
If your question was not answered in the previous questions, please fill out the Parent Inquiry Qualtrics Form to send your inquiry.
Your response will be sent to the email provided.
For optimal service, ensure all fields are completed and a SF State ID of the account you are inquiring about is given.
