4:00PM in person at service windows located at the Student Services and Administration buildings.

11:59PM for online payments- the Bursar’s Office is not responsible for online payments that are not processed by this deadline. To ensure proper processing of your online payment, we recommend using Mozilla Firefox or Internet Explorer to submit your online payments

FALL 2019 FEE PAYMENT DEADLINE

Any students who enroll into classes or increased their enrollment from part-time (6.0 units or less) to full-time (6.1 or more units) during April 29 - August 9 must pay their Fall 2019 balance along with any outstanding balances from previous semesters by this due date to avoid being dropped from classes. (Please note: there is no enrollment activity August 10 & August 11)

 

If you have a financial aid award for the Fall 2019 Semester, your tuition is deferred until September 23, 2019. Late fees are applicable if aid has not disbursed by this date.
 

FIRST INSTALLMENT PLAN DUE DATE:
Resident Students- Payment 1 of 3 due
(Payment towards 1/3 of Tuition PLUS Local Fees PLUS the $33 Service Fee must be made in full; remaining balance will be divided into two equal payments due September 12 and October 12)

 

International & Non-Resident Students enrolled into an Installment Payment Plan- Payment 1 of 4 Due
(Payment towards Tuition PLUS State & Local Fees must be made in full; Non-Resident Fees will be divided into 3 equal payments to be made monthly on September 12, October 12 and November 12, which includes an installment service fee)

Students who have not enrolled nor made Fall 2019 Tuition/Fee payments by the Fee Payment Deadline, August 12, 2019, will have an “S2” Hold placed on their account on this day.

An S2 Hold prevents students from enrolling into classes until payment in full is made for tuition & fees. A $25 Late Registration and $20 Administrative Fee will apply.

SECOND INSTALLMENT PLAN DUE DATE:
Resident Students- Payment 2 of 3 due
(Additional 1/3 of tuition is due this day with the final 1/3 of tuition-only due October 12; This is the last day to enroll into an Installment Payment Plan for the Fall 2019 term. Students who enroll into an Installment Payment Plan after August 12 will be asked to pay for 2/3 of Tuition PLUS all local/mandatory fees PLUS $33 service fee if they wish to install the remaining balances of their tuition and fees.)

International & Non-Resident Students enrolled into an Installment Payment Plan- Payment 2 of 4 Due
(The first of the 3-part Non-Resident Fees is due this day. The final two will be due on October 12 and November 12, which will include an installment service fee; international and non-resident students who enroll into an Installment Payment Plan after August 12 will be asked to pay for 1/3 of their non-resident fees, all local/mandatory fees, and any applicable service fees. Non-Resident and International students can enroll into an Installment Payment Plan until October 12, 2019.)

Last Day to Drop Classes/Withdraw without a W grade.

Last day for partial refund of Tuition Fee for students with 6.1+ units who drop to and keep 6.0 units or less (see REFUND GUIDELINES)

Last day for partial refund for Professional Program Fee

Last day to receive refund for non-resident fees and partial refund of Tuition & Fees for students with 6.1+ units who drop and keep 6.0 units or less (see REFUND GUIDELINES)

THIRD INSTALLMENT PLAN DUE DATE:

Resident Students- Payment 3 of 3 due [Final Payment]
(Final installment payment due for last third (1/3) of tuition-only balance)

International & Non-Resident Students- Payment 4 of 4 due [Final Payment]

Fee Information

The CSU makes every effort to keep student costs to a minimum. Fees listed in published schedules or student accounts may need to be increased when public funding is inadequate. Therefore, CSU must reserve the right, even after fees are initially charged or initial fee payments are made, to increase or modify any listed fees. All listed fees, other than mandatory system wide fees, are subject to change without notice, until the date when instruction for a particular semester or quarter has begun. All CSU listed fees should be regarded as estimates that are subject to change upon approval by the Board of Trustees, the Chancellor, or the Presidents, as appropriate. Changes in mandatory system wide fees will be made in accordance with the requirements of the Working Families Student Fee Transparency and Accountability Act (Sections 66028 - 66028.6 of the Education Code).

Campus fees should be regarded as estimates that are subject to change upon approval by the President and/or Student Fee Committee, without notice

Non-Resident Tuition Fee - $396 Per Semester Unit
Non- resident of California and International students must pay $396 per unit.

Graduate and Professional Program Fees (Business Matriculating Graduate Students)
*Graduate students in the College of Business will be charged an additional Graduate Program Fee of $700 (for 0 to 6.0 units) or $1,200 (for 6.1 or more units) and a Professional Program Fee of $270 per unit.

Note:Graduate Students in the Master of Arts in Economics program are not subject to the additional Graduate MBA program fee.

Graduate and Professional Program Fees (Public Administration Matriculating Graduate Students)
*Graduate students in Public Administration will be charged an additional Graduate Program Fee of $430 (for 0 to 6.0 units) or $850 (for 6.1 or more units) per semester.
 

**The SIRF (Student Involvement and Representation Fee) can be opted out of in the Student Center (Gateway). Find the "Finances" section of the page, click through the drop-down menu and select "Account Activity" to find the date the SIRF fee posted for the semester the charge was placed on the account and click the "OPT OUT" toggle button to follow the click-through instructions. If you have trouble completing the opt-out process, please contact the Bursar's Office at bursar.sfsu.edu/inquiry or at 415-338-1281 for assistance.
